The Fon lab studies the molecular mechanisms leading to the neuronal degeneration in Parkinson's disease (PD). Their focus is on understanding the cellular functions of the genes responsible for familial forms of PD and how the dysfunction of these genes leads to disease. The lab is located in the Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital) of McGill University
